Northern Lakes Economic Alliance • 231-582-6482
Andy Hayes, President
The NLEA Board is made up of 23 appointees from public/private organizations. Our three-member counties, Antrim, Charlevoix, and Cheboygan, appoint five members each. Permanent seats are appointed by NLEA founding organizations: North Central Michigan College, Char-Em ISD, NW MI Industrial Association, and MSU Extension. The remaining four seats are “at-large” appointments and represent our three utility companies, DTE Energy, Consumers Energy, Great Lakes Energy, as well as Baker College.
Although this is a large group, members are very active and engaged. It also represents a cross-section of public and private sector members, which mirrors the public/private partnership that makes the NLEA strong and effective. We value and appreciate their leadership, collaborative spirit, and commitment to the economic vitality of our area.
The 2020 NLEA Board Officers began their term on 1/1/2020.
