The Spring 2026 Economic Pulse Report revealed that 100% of local government leaders surveyed desired additional development in their community, ranging from mixed-use to residential to industrial and 74% of business leaders stated that they have plans for a physical expansion within the region in the next four years. Leaders looking to invest in the region can face barriers. At this event, NLEA staff and other resource providers will walk attendees through local tools and resources available to facilitate desired development that helps Northern Michigan attract and retain a strong workforce and supports thriving businesses and communities.
